The 100 MIDI files in this category are from over 40 operas written by some 28 composers including Bizet, Donizetti, Gounod, Humperdinck, Leoncavallo, Mascagni, Puccini, Rossini, Saint-Saens, Verdi and Wagner (37 selections). In several cases, composers are playing their own music. Pianists include Wilhelm Backhaus, Ferruccio Busoni, Eugen d’Albert, Vladimir Horowitz and Benno Moiseiwitsch.
